People's Daily client news on April 15th, the reporter learned from Loongson Zhongke today that the infrastructure of Loongson's autonomous command system architecture (hereinafter referred to as Loongson architecture) has been evaluated by a well-known domestic third-party intellectual property evaluation agency. At present, the Loongson 3A5000 processor chip that supports this architecture has been successfully taped out, and the complete operating system based on the new architecture has been running stably on the 3A5000 computer, which marks an important progress in the construction of the domestic independent information technology system and the industrial ecology.

The CPU instruction system is the computer's software and hardware interface, and is the binary code format specification of the software instructions executed by the CPU. An instruction system carries a software ecosystem, such as the Wintel ecosystem formed by the X86 instruction system and the Windows operating system, and the AA ecosystem formed by the ARM instruction system and the Android operating system. Foreign CPU manufacturers use the instruction system as a means to control the ecology, and need to obtain "authorization" to develop compatible CPUs. The command system is the foundation of the information industry. Based on the command system authorized by foreign countries, it is difficult to build an independent information technology system and industrial ecology.
Based on the accumulation of 20 years of CPU development and ecological construction, Loongson Zhongke has launched the Loongson architecture, which includes basic architecture and extensions such as vector instructions, virtualization, and binary translation. Nearly 2000 instructions are fully autonomous, technologically advanced, and compatible. Three aspects of ecology.
In terms of autonomy, the Loongson architecture has been independently redesigned from the top-level plan of the entire architecture, to the function definition of each part, and then to the code, name, and meaning of each instruction in the details. Compared with the original compatible instruction system, Loongson The architecture is not only easier to design with high performance and low power consumption in terms of hardware, but also easier to compile and optimize and the development of operating systems and virtual machines in terms of software; the Loongson architecture also fully considers compatible ecological requirements when designing, and integrates international mainstream instruction systems The main functions and characteristics of the software can not only ensure the non-destructive migration of the application binary on the existing Loongson computer, but also realize the efficient binary translation of a variety of international mainstream command systems.
It is understood that Loongson Zhongke's newly developed CPUs will support the Loongson architecture from 2020. Loongson Zhongke has released the Loongson architecture's basic architecture instruction system manual within a certain range, and will release a more complete Loongson architecture instruction system manual on a larger scale after the evaluation is completed. Loongson Zhongke will also cooperate with industry chain partners to establish an open command system alliance at an appropriate time, and share architecture and related Loongson IP cores among alliance members for free.
